Description

A musician in red uniform and red-and-green plaid kilt, wearing a black feathered bonnet, holding batons and a green embroidered flag. The printed text at the bottom of the front identifies the figure as 'The Pipe Major, Black Watch'. The reverse features a handwritten correspondence addressed to P. Scheffer in Aurilliac, France, with two 1-penny stamps and a partially obliterated postmark.
