Winter black and white view of the village of Assy-Passy in the Hautes-Alpes, with the snow-covered Aravis Range in the background. The back features a handwritten address to Madame Guilloteau in Nantes, a cancellation mark from Nantes Station on August 25, 1939, and a 65-centime French postage stamp.
