View of the Gothic portal of the Saint-Lazare church in Avallon, with its pointed arches and carvings. The reverse has a handwritten address to Maurice Fontaine at the Collège de Vigny in Dijon, two green 5-centime stamps, and a postmark from Dijon dated January 12, 1902.
