Description

Postcard showing the Renaissance castle of Azay-le-Rideau, with its characteristic architecture and its reflection in the water. Printed text states that it is one of the finest examples of the Renaissance and that it is now a national museum. Reverse: handwritten message dated September 8, 1941, sent to Madame Brossard at Château de Lalande by Coucy, with two 40-centime stamps and a postmark from Cité Jardins (Sceaux, Seine) dated August 18, 1941.
