Description

Gothic statue of the Descent of the Cross in the Saint-Étienne Church in Beauvais, dated 15th century. The front shows the carved scene with several figures around Christ. The reverse has a handwritten address to Madame Vve Bolivar in Paris, with a handwritten date '1906' and a green 5-centime French Republic postage stamp with cancellation.
