Description

Illustration of the Astronomical Clock of Besançon, commissioned by Cardinal Mathieu in 1838 and executed by M. Vérité de Beauvais. The clock, 5m80 high and composed of 20,000 parts, was reorganized in 1890 by M. Florian Goudey. The reverse indicates the publisher Florian Goudey, Besançon, and the correspondence zones and address.
