Description

View of Cadillac Castle in Gironde, with a church with a spired steeple in the background. The reverse details its history: begun around 1598 under Henri III, work of Pierre Souffron, decorated with frescoes and paneling in the style of Louis XIII, and purchased by the State in 1816. Handwritten signature and partially visible postmark.
