View of the Abbey of the Ladies in Caen, with its Romanesque-Norman church and crypt housing the remains of former abbesses. Printed text mentions the foundation in 1066 by Queen Matilda. Reverse: handwritten address to M. Blanchet Payet at 'au Porvigo' in Menton, with postmark and stamp 'NORMANDIE - PES MARTIMES'.
