Description

Military camp scene in Auvours with several soldiers around a tent, one of them tending to a fallen comrade on a mattress. Printed text at the bottom: '59 — Camp d'Auvours — Soldier's Pastime'. Reverse: handwritten address to Mr. Montieur and Madame Marche in Vernon, with a postmark of 'FURNE 30 11 1914' and the sender's signature. A 50-centime green stamp canceled.
