The reverse features a handwritten letter from the soldier to his wife, mentioning that he hopes she receives the postcard and that he cannot write to her often. The address is clearly indicated in Lyon, and the Lyon postmark is visible. The cancellation of May 23, 1916, confirms the date of mailing.
