View of a steep path at the foot of the Mer de Glace glacier, with climbers equipped with ropes. On the reverse, a postcard dated July 26, 1926, sent from Chamonix to Paris, with a green 20-centime stamp and a Parisian postmark. The publisher is indicated at the bottom: '5. CHAMONIX - The Bad Step - Mer de Glace'.
