Description

Sepia-toned view of a dramatic sunset with rays of light piercing the clouds above a calm sea. On the back, a green 5-centime stamp of the French Republic, a postmark from Charente dated 17 April 1940, and handwritten address to Mrs. Alvine Cristin in Toulon. Printed text on the back notes that all foreign countries do not accept correspondence on the front.
