View of a beam from the choir of Chartres Cathedral, dating from the 16th century, depicting two scenes: « The Holy Virgin Going to the Temple » and « The Marriage of the Holy Virgin ». The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated March 8, 1922, addressed to Mr. Gourrier Pascal in Paris, with the recipient's address and the publisher « Anciens Établ. Neubruden et Cie ».
