Postcard showing the pavilion of the Renaissance castle in Châteaubriant, with engraved inscription by Jean de Laval in 1538. Printed text on the front: « This is at the foot of this Pavilion where was the entrance to the fronton of which Jean de Laval had the inscription engraved: « From bad to good, from good to better. » Reverse: green 15-centime stamp, postmark of Châteaubriant from August 25, 1910, and handwritten address to Monsieur H. Barthélemy in Servon-sur-Combe (Marne).
