Description

View of the castle-fort of Châteaubriant, whose ruins date from the 11th century and were dismantled in 1632. Printed text on the front mentions its ownership by Henri de Montmorency. The reverse bears an address to Madame Bellanger in Beaume, with a postmark from Châteaubriant (Maine-et-Loire) and French Republic 5-centime stamps.
