Color illustration of a young boy in naval uniform, saving his wounded father aboard a burning ship, with a sailor in the background. The reverse details the story: in 1798, during the naval battle of Aboukir, the son of Rear Admiral Casabianca, aged 13, was left on the deck as his father died. An old sailor ordered him to save his father, and he ran to the room where his father was dying. The story is intended for student Lereboursot of the Jean Macé school.
