View of the fortified church of Courçon-d'Aunis, dated 1937, with its imposing bell tower with machicolations and clock. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 1st December 1937, addressed to a comrade, signed 'André', and mentions the publisher 'Artistic Editions Raymond Bergeyin - La Rochelle'.
