Indian interior postcard from 1948, with a 35 annas violet stamp, addressed to the Controller of Examinations of Engineering Institutions (India) in Calcutta. The reverse features an inscription in Hindi and English denouncing untouchability as a crime against God and man, accompanied by a circular Madras postage stamp dated 23-1-48 and an image of Gandhi. The recipient's address is at Gockale Road, Calcutta-20, and the sender's address at Venkatrangam, Madras-5.
