The reverse displays a message in English and Hindi: 'Untouchability is a crime against God and man', with the recipient's address in Calcutta and the sender's address in Satara, Maharashtra. Two circular cancellations are visible, one at VADNIA MISHRA (1948) and the other at Satara (1948).
