Description

Indian interior postcard in pale blue, franked with a violet 35 annas stamp featuring the effigy of Gandhi, sent around 1940 to the Institution of Engineers in Calcutta. The reverse bears an inscription in Hindi and English: 'UNTTOUCHABILITY IS A CRIME AGAINST GOD AND MAN', as well as the recipient's address and that of the recipient, Babu Rom Verma, in Khora Khari, with a partially erased postmark.
