Indian interior postcard from 1947, franked with a violet 35 annas stamp featuring the imperial eagle motif, intended for the Secretary and General Director of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Calcutta. The reverse bears the recipient's address, the recipient's address, the recipient's name N.S. Chugh at Sakalpur, as well as the inscription 'THE UNTOUCHABILITY IS A CRIME AGAINST GOD AND MAN' with an illustration of Gandhi.
