Pale blue Indian interior postcard, dated around 1940, franked with a violet 35 annas stamp depicting a lion. The back has an inscription in Hindi and English: « INTOUCHABILITY IS A CRIME AGAINST GOD AND MAN », accompanied by a postmark from Varanasi. The recipient's address is the Institution of Engks, 8 Gokhale Road, Calcutta. The recipient is identified as « Sec. & Director-General ».
