View of the monumental rose window of the Abbey of Vaux-de-Cernay, with its ruined Gothic architecture and bare-branched trees. On the reverse, a postcard sent to Mademoiselle Jeanne Hachette in Beauvais (Oise), with a 40-centime red stamp and a Paris postmark of October 17, 1917. The handwritten message expresses affectionate attachment.
