View of the South Breakwater at Aberdeen, with a lighthouse at the end of the jetty and waves breaking. Printed text at the bottom: 'Aberdeen—South Breakwater. South Breakwater at Aberdeen. McMillan, Aberdeen.' Handwritten inscription on the reverse indicates that the jetty was built more than 150 years ago, and mentions arrival on July 7, 1908 at 2 a.m. and departure on July 11 in the morning.
