View of the west facade of Saint-Sauveur Cathedral in Aix-en-Provence, showing its Gothic architecture with its imposing sculpted portal and tower. The reverse details the history of the building, constructed on the ruins of a pagan temple dedicated to Apollo, replaced by a Roman-Byzantine basilica in 1057, then expanded in the 14th century with naves of different styles. The sculpted doors are the work of Jean Guiramand in 1505.
