View of the Church of the Madeleine in Aix-en-Provence, with a monumental column adorned with an eagle at the top and sculptures at the base. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 29.2.12, addressed to 'My dear Annie', mentioning a return to Marseille and family news. The stamp and postmark are visible at the top right.
