View of La Chambotte in Aix-les-Bains, with a castle on a steep cliff overlooking a lake. The reverse bears a handwritten letter from a non-commissioned officer of the 97th Infantry Alpine Regiment to Madame M. Chambery, in Bruges, Belgium. Red 10 centimes stamp and postmarks from Aix-les-Bains (August 16, 1902) and arrival in Bruges (August 19, 1902).
