View of the Fontaine du 1er Consul in Ajaccio, surrounded by palm trees and a garden, with a central statue and sculpted lions. On the reverse, a handwritten correspondence dated 19 June 1899, addressed to Paris, mentioning arrival in Ajaccio and a request to visit the recipient's family. Italian postal stamp of 50 centesimi, canceled.
