Description

View of Aldwych Street in London, showing ornate buildings and a lively street with vehicles and pedestrians. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated July 27, 1916, addressed to Mademoiselle Élise Chatellier in Béthune, France, and mentions the construction of the street and the demolition of parts of the Seven Dials. The stamp is a British postal stamp with cancellation 'LONDON' and 'WOOD GREEN.N'.
