Description

Scene of a fountain in the Casbah of Algiers, with a woman in a white veil drawing water and another person washing their hands. The wall is decorated with geometric mosaics and an Arabic insignia. On the reverse, a handwritten letter mentions a visit to Algiers in 1960, addressed to Mr. Joseph Marie in Puteaux, with an Algerian postal stamp from 1960 and a cancellation 'ALGER'.
