Description

Sepia-toned view of the interior of the Grande Mosquée in Algiers, showing rows of semicircular arches supported by columns, with suspended chandeliers and a tiled floor. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 29/3/61, addressed to 'Ma petite sœur chérie', mentioning personal details and an address in Paris. The postmark is partially visible, with a Parisian cancellation.
