Colorized view of the Prefecture in Algiers, an imposing building with two towers and arcades, dated around 1920. The reverse has handwritten correspondence from a soldier of the 3rd battalion of the zouave regiment, who arrived in Algiers and described the modern barracks and living conditions. Postmark and cancellation visible.
