View of the Notre-Dame d'Afrique church in Algiers, with its ornate architecture of domes and towers, surrounded by vegetation. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 29 June 1919, addressed to 'Cher Pierre', mentioning a recovery and travel plans. The postage stamp is postmarked in Algiers.
