Description

View of the Notre-Dame d'Afrique sanctuary in Algiers, framed by trees, with printed text on the reverse referring to the city as 'an imaginary city' and 'the cathedral of the sun'. The reverse bears a handwritten address to Mrs. Saint-Georges in Annecy, a 20-centime French postage stamp, and a postmark from Algiers dated May 20, 1947. The publisher is 'Editions Photo-Africaines, Algiers'.
