Black and white portrait of a young Arab wearing a turban and a traditional cloak, looking to the right. The reverse contains a handwritten correspondence addressed to 'My dear Charles', dated around 1910, signed 'Jean Lamy' with the salutations 'Warmly yours' and 'The people here join yours'.
