Description

Two musicians in traditional attire play the alphorn in front of an alpine landscape with the snow-capped peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. On the reverse, a handwritten letter in French mentions a trip along the Rhine and admiration for the instruments. A 30-centime stamp from Zurich, dated May 12, 1955, is canceled with a Bern postmark.
