Description

View of the Langres Castle, a fortress dating back to Philippe Auguste, overlooking the city with its seventeen towers. Printed text on the front describes the imposing appearance of the castle and its interior chapel. Reverse: French 20-centime postage stamp, postmark from Vénez-en-Anjou (Maine-et-Loire) dated July 8, 1933, addressed to Odette Bartoli in Marseille.
