Bronze statue of a bishop on a stone base in front of a Gothic church in Angers. The monument commemorates Monsignor Freppel, Bishop of Angers from 1870 to 1891, and bears his epitaph: 'Sir, believe in a Bishop who tells you before God and with his hand on his conscience: Alsace will never belong to you.'
