View of the Romanesque-Byzantine cathedral of Angoulême, built in the 12th century, with its towers and dome. The reverse side features a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. Bernard in Croix, Nord, and a 12-centime French Republic postmark canceled in Angoulême. The publisher is identified as 'Éditions Charentaises d'Art A. Gilbert'.
