View of the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre in Angoulême, begun in the 11th century in the Roman-Byzantine style, consecrated in 1128, damaged by Protestants in 1569 and restored in 1630. The façade, adorned with an immense sculptural panel, depicts the scene of the Last Judgment. Reverse: descriptive text, publisher 'Éditions Artistiques Raymond Bergevin - La Rochelle', gold medal, Paris World's Fair 1937, No. 20680.
