View of the façade of the cathedral in Angoulême, with its two towers and carved portal. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to 'Monsieur Pierre' in Paris, dated August 20, 1947, sent from Charente, with two 40-centime stamps and a Charente postmark.
