View of the Carnot statue in Angoulême, with the Desaix rampart and the city rooftops in the background. The reverse contains handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. Maxime Chavaud, a law student in Commecy, with a postage stamp and a postmark from Château-Gaillard dated July 19, 1914.
