View of the Carnot monument in Angoulême, sculpted by R. Verlet, with a central statue and allegorical figures. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated June 19, 1904, addressed to Madame de Baulchard in Puteaux (Seine), with a postmark and a cancellation from Charente.
