Black and white view of the Château de la Cigogne in Annecy, with a canal in the foreground where several swans are swimming. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated April 7, 1950, sent from Paris to Lyon, mentioning an exhibition on "Snow and the Painter" at the Palais de l'Isle in Annecy. A 20-franc postage stamp is affixed at the top right.
