Snowy view of a forest path in Peira-Cava, at an altitude of 1500m, with trees covered in snow. Printed text: '1894 - PEIRA-CAVA - Altitude 1500m - A Corner of the Forest'. Reverse: handwritten address to Madame de Cretfurn, Jardin Zoologique, Marseille, with a handwritten note requesting the excursion of the expedition. Postmark: two obliterated 10c 'République Française' stamps. Hexagonal postmark from Peira-Cava.
