View of the ruins of the Beaucaens Castle in Argelès-Gazost, with two main towers and remnants of walls on a rocky promontory. On the reverse, a French postage stamp of 40 centimes (1930) and a cancellation stamp from Lourdes. The handwritten address indicates a recipient in Paris, with mention of 'Musee Pyrénéen' and 'Carrache, publisher'.
