View of the Château de l'Ebaupinaye in Argenton, with its ruins and a circular building to the left, bordered by a watercourse. Printed text indicates its foundation in the 14th century, its reconstruction in the 15th century by the Vendels, then its passage to Charles de Hillerín in 1689 and to the De Châtillon family in the 18th century. Reverse: 5 centimes green stamp, postmark from Rouziers (Vendée) dated 27 December 1914, and handwritten address to M. Payrandean at Les Bruanzils, Vendée.
