Description

Devastated view of the Saint-Nicolas church in Arras in 1918, with its Gothic ruins and surrounding damaged buildings. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated November 1st, 1919, sent to Madame H. Bizet in Paris, describing the damage and reunions in a cemetery. Green 10-centime stamp and Arras postmark.
