A man in a chanoine's uniform, wearing a cap, holds a lectern and a large musical instrument, probably a tuba, in front of an altar in a church. The printed text at the bottom indicates 'I. - At the Lectern — Before the Performance.' The reverse side has a handwritten address to Madame Marie Bardere in Sedegues, Aveyron, with a postmark from 'DEUX-SEVRES' dated June 2, 1905.
