Description

Group of Russian soldiers in winter uniform posing in a snow-covered trench shelter, with a coat hanging on the left. Printed text in French, English, and Russian: 'At rest. At rest. На отдыхе.' The reverse features a handwritten letter dated April 10, 1914, sent to a 'dear one' in Paris, signed 'C. Lapins', with a Paris postmark and cancellation 'PARIS 10 AVRIL 1914'.
